Cordless tanglefree power
I have been using a GreenWorks 40Volt cordless trimmer on a rural garden with quite heavy grass for a few weeks now and find it a great improvement on past trimmers of various makes that I have used. There is plenty of power to handle the thick stems and the self feeding head works well without having to resort to regular thumping on the ground to keep the cutting line at the correct length. Furthermore the design of the head is more tangle free than any other strimmer I have used and provided I stick to the rule of cutting short lengths and then moving closer to the ground it works perfectly. Being cordless makes it so much easier to use than corded versions, no need to be near a power outlet, no snagging of cables and pulling out of plugs by mistake.
I am using a 4.0AH battery and this gives me a good running time (I can't say how long as I have never run it to its limit).
I do find the weight balance causes the unit to feel a little heavy on the wrist but moving the grip handle fairly far forward on the shaft alleviated this. I am really happy with this unit.
